Bag Attachement "Patch" Replacement

A while back I lamented that the ring pulled through the cansvas patch that holds the strap to the bag.

Well, while at home in Ohio, I took the bag down to a local shoe repair guy (does awesome work!) to see what he could do.

He replaced the canvas patch with a leather patch, and the results are soooo good, that I'm considering pre-empting failure of the other side and having him replace that one too (as well as on my others).

The size and shape are identical; the leather is a very light tan that compliments the canvas bag nicely.

Just thought I'd mention this in case this happens (or happened) to any one else...
