something i've always wondered about the climax of ROTLA.... why is it that only everyone who *looked* at the ark being opened were the ones who were killed? Did the ghosts have some special power where they must enter through the eyes to kill someone? And if so, how did Indy know not to watch? It's not like there's a precautions manual for opening the ark that he could have read! And since he and Belloq are both educated in archaeology and studying the ark, then shouldn't Belloq also have known to keep his eyes closed?
