Poster Artist - Amsel

Hi all... I was just fondly remembering what a big fan of Richard Amsel I was when I was younger (he designed the Indy poster, among many other things). I just did a search under his name on a search engine, and one listing had 1947-1985 after his name -- which I guess sadly means that he has passed away.

Does anyone out there have any info on this artist? Know where a person could find out more about his life? Also, if he did die -- what was the cause?
