: On this new veg. tanned goatskin Expedition--is the leather darker/less shiny than the current lamb offering?
: If so, I have a feeling I'll be sending back my new lamb Expedition as soon as it arrives!

The color is pretty close to the swatch of lamb I have, though just slightly darker. When "distressed" with a bit of 220 grit sandpaper, the goat has more red in the distressed area, while the lamb is more grey. Also, it takes a lot to distress the goatskin, while the lambskin gives to the sandpaper easily. The veg tan does have a sheen comparable to the lamb when new, but it wears very quickly. I used the old wash cloth I use to put Pecards on my boots. It is fairly saturated with the Pecard, and I just rubbed it lightly over the sample and the surface of the sheen went away. I plan to use the same cloth to give my jacket a quick rub-down when I take it out of the box.
Hope this helps - cheers!
