Yeah, I found that probably about between 5 and 6 days is the perfect length. I let mine grow for 7, though, and it still worked. Damn did it itch, though... I personally have no idea how to trim my beard either, without, say, the aid of one of those Norelco beard things with the adjustable length. I generally prefer to go clean-shaven, anyway.
