It is shown in Raiders that he carries ammo clips for a Colt 1911, for the few scenes he had used it, anyway. Aside from that, in a pouch that small, you can only carry the basic archeological tools minus the shovel, and some artifacts.

It's just one of those things that make our hero so bloody enigmatic.
