An Indy-related (really!) politics survey request

Ok, I'm really NOT trying to antagonize anyone here, nor do I want to revive the political acrimony that has appeared...
BUT, I wonder if there's anything in the so-called Indy Canon (films, books, etc.) that might be suggestive of Indy's political leanings?
Of course we all know he kicked Nazi booty, and was a true-blooded American, etc., but is there anything else?
This question might appeal to those here more conversant with this canon.
Arguments for a particular party/ideology should be based on more explicit and specific remarks than, for example, "Indy loved America, therefore he was a Republican/Democrat/Communist/Martian".
Again, I'm just curious if there's any hint in Indy lore.
