The felt had become real fuzzy looking from repeated cleaning, using compressed air to get the saw dust off. I remembered that hats are sanded in the finishing process, and decided to try it. It worked beautifully. I used 400 grit sand paper, and I would suggest not to use anything courser. I put the finishing touches on it with this special paper I used in fabricating Corian counter tops. It is a micro grit paper and works really well. The felt looks like new. Regards, Fedora
