Well boys, today was a red letter day. A real landmark in my on going Indy expedition. As I said before, Henry Strauch's 1933 Waco bi-plane from Raider's is in a hanger for the winter. Never the less, I intervied Henry at length regarding his contribution to our favorite movie today. Not only was the interview great, but he had a whole photo album of the Hawaii shoot AND a behind-the-scenes home movie!!!!
I saw the scenes in the river, Ford, Lucas, Spielberg and crew working. There were shots of Ford being chased by Hovitos and lots move. Here is something new that I learned: Fred (Jock) crashed the plane during take off with Ford on board. This was on the video as well. Luckily I had my trusty digital camcorder and documented the whole experience. Pics will be on my page this weekend when I return.
I am a lucky man :-)
