I don't own both, but my Mark Allen whip was pretty smooth and fluid out of the box. I found it amazingly easy to crack. To my eye, it looks the same as the David Morgan. Granted I do not have a David Morgan in front of me, but I think the Mark Allen whip is fantastic. I even ordered the Little Indy whip to play around with as well.
