True. It does have a "wacky premise", but I enjoyed watching it. I now remember seeing it on TV when I was a kid. Several years ago I was trying to remember the name of this movie. I thought it was a B&W film because I had watched on a B&W TV :-) The scene of that guy in the conning tower screaming as the ship came crushing them in half is etched in my mind. I agree the Nautilus is very cool. A colleague of mine has a miniture of it. I loved the Classic Illustrated comics as a kid. The Jules Verne and H.G. Wells were on the top of my lists. The illustrations used in those comics were fantastic.
