Knowing Patterson, I don't think anything would please him more than to be able to sit down, drink coffee, and talk shop with you anywhere, anytime. Definitely get hold of him. He's a blast to gab with, as I've done many times by phone, and an excellent source of information and ideas. You two would get along just fine. (It's just a bit far to communte from Tennessee to California for Patterson and I to ever have a cup of coffee, but you're right, with his frequent flyer miles, we could meet in Nashville as he passed through!
