I disagree with you. We're talking about simple numbers here. A figure that sells for $40 is a $34 profit. That's ridiculous and it's highway robbery, and it is NOT a service to a fan. It's capitalizing on a situation and exploiting someone who otherwise would not know this item was more readily available.
To set a reserve price of $50 on a $15 "statue" is greedy and demonstrates that the only thing a seller cares about is lining their pockets, NOT taking care of the fan. We're not talking about a vintage figure, or a short-packed R2D2 here.
Maybe we should agree to disagree though.
