No they don't. Tom Cruise, Russell Crowe, Dustin Hoffman, Al Pacino, Sylvester Stallone, Robert DeNiro...all under 5'10"--some by a lot, and the list goes on. Leading men 6' and over are more the exception than the rule. You might be thinking of runway models.
