Now, I'm not here to condemn the Kenner Indy. It's a great figure, but I always wondered...

Is it just me? Don't articulated knees looks like the action figure was in a terrible double-amputation accident, and they had to give him replacements? Why hasn't action figure technology advanced to a state where the knees don't have these conspicuous bolts going through them?
