need some help

Im in the Aetherium level in the infernal machine nintendo 64 version and i need some help getting to where Sophia is. As i read some walkthroughs, which are all based on the pc version, they mention the Monkey Island easter egg and that gets me all screwed up. I heard that easter egg was net in the N64 version. So how do you get to the four ledges where Sophia is? I got up there before but dont remember how.
