Maybe I'm lazy as Hell, but I just went to Walmart and found a pair I was happy with. Then, I bought a second pair to cut up and made my own damn pocket flaps! I also took them in a bit, tapering from the knee to the cuff, so they would have a loose fit without being bell bottoms. I'm not happy with them now that Michaelson pointed out that the originals have wide belt loops. Oh, well; I have plenty of scrap left!
