Nope...its just plain ol` black grossgrain. I asked for it from Joe Jr. as he was making my hat. It`s 1 1/2 inches in just ..black. I think it captures the feeling more of that ribbon/hat contrast from the film hat. I love it. My crown in the open state was 6 inches and the brim is 2 3/4`s all the way around! WooHoo!
