I found out that the reason mine did that was because I had a pair that were to wide the first round. When I went from a C width to a B width, I've never had that problem since. Standard or automatic! Regards. Michaelson
: As I recall, we determined this problem to the fact that we use standard shift automobiles, or something like that. Regards. Michaelson
: : I mean my right Alden's shifty tongue... That problem has almost completely disappeared after seven months. :) The heels haven't fallen apart either.

: : : I'd suggest you contact Allen White at the store and ask what can be done. He's a great customer service man. I have never experienced what you said here, so you may have a pair of shoes that somehow slipped past QC. Check with Allen. Regards. Michaelson

: : : : I can't believe this–I bought my Aldens in SanFrancisco at their
: : : : shop in San Francisco. A little more than ONE MONTH and the
: : : : stitching holding the tongues in is coming loose in BOTH boots.
: : : : Some stitching has already come out. I can't believe this, I'm
: : : : going to have to take these already expensive boots in to a
: : : : shoemaker to be fixed. I am very angry.
: : : : Anyone else have this problem or have any suggestions?Input is
: : : : GREATLY appreciated.
