I have been there from the start,summer 81.The teaser poster got me,you know the one that said Director of Jaws producer of Star wars.
The first thing i thought after the Paramount mountain fade and saw this tall dude in a big hat was oops wrong theater (i thought that it was a western).5 seconds later it all made sense.
To me Raiders has the classic ingredients of a really good western,the combination of myth,faith,and a runaway stagecoach,and i have been hooked ever since.
The gear collecting has only flourished with having a grown up job(now i can afford all this cool stuff)
