My everyday brown PB has taken the brunt of the noreasters socking New England in the past week, keeping my noggin' dry (and stylish) without trouble; today's snow was very wet and as a result got the crown wetter than I'd like, but as a result i discovered something.
I was able to reshape the crown with very sharp creases and it brings out a very strong Cairo-feel.
I'd previously suspected that the PB's thicker felt wouldn't lend itself to that, and that the original HJ Cairo hat may have been thinner/softer.
But this was a pretty neat revelation! And once again I can only reiterate my endorsement of PB hats. Even if you never see snow! ;-)
