There are external burners that can accept input from a variety of sources...including a home comuter.
There are also NUMEROUS freeware dvd ripping programs, some guys use to copy dvd's.There are also dvd/Divx commpression utilities available.
I have seen the dvd blank media, and they generally run about $30 PER DISK.
It just gets eisier and easier...
