I'm reading the novelizations right now, and I just passed that part. According to the book, yes indeed, Mola Ram and Chatter Lal were looking on, quite pleased that Indy was, in fact, locking her up and fully loyal to Kali. And I think it was every male member of the audience that didn't want her breast damaged, too. :P
