The Wested lamb is nice and dark, as well as resilient. I wouldn't switch to cowhide only because you want the jacket to last longer. Despite it's weight, the lambskin is tough!

: I recently order a new lambskin "Temple" version from Peter. However, I just changed the order to hide to make my investment last a little longer. I will be aging the jacket myself with acetone and sanding. Here's my question: In ToD Indy's jacket seems a little darker than in Raiders, and that's what I'm wanting. Is Wested's hide good and dark? And, after ditressing, does it still retain a good darkness to it? I really don't want my jacket to turn out red or tan after distressing it. So, which is more recommendable on color, hide or lambskin? Please let me know!
