Minimum of $2-5K for a jacket from anyone worth his or her salt. Will depend on the specs, proximity to the tailor, number of revisions made. Leather isn’t like cloth - you mess up a seam, you throw it away. Really makes you appreciate what FS did for us. When you ask about why an A2 costs less than the Expedition, there are no R&D costs to recover from making A2's. When I worked with David Hack on revising their pattern last summer, he dropped a few grand on a mock-up that ended up in a dumpster - just because he's a fan like the rest of us. Something to keep in mind when we get hot under the collar about their products.
