I have a 12 foot (16 plait kangaroo). It is my first whip and I didn't have a hard time learning to crack it. I the toughest part is not killing yourself while learning. I found that I can get the best sound with the forward crack. I have also been practicing on targets. I had the whip for two months now and getting very good at it.
Dave.
: ok, a 10 or 8 foot whip from Mark Allen? you guys like both. Which
: is the better length?
: why is a ten footer better than an 8? I heard that the ten footers
: are difficult to crack without a lot of practice. True or false?
: with the fall and popper, an 8 footer is about 10 feet on a mark
: allen, anyway, t or f?
: I just don 't know whether it's worth getting the extra two feet for a
: ten footer or not. I just want a good, all around whip to use.
: cheers,
