: 1. Price
: A very nice cotton jacket can be purchased for about $130.
: 2. Weight and breathability
: Sometimes (especially if you live in a warm climate) it would be nice
: to have a really light jacket that can be worn more often than a
: leather jacket.
: 3. Convenience
: Cotton can be washed. Cotton can be made water resitant.
: 4. Cotton doesn't sqeak...
: Also, some people don't like leather...
