Yes, but not by much! As a matter of law, a "firearm" by legal definition, is the frame or receiver. You can take all the metal parts off a Glock and give them to a convicted felon and it would be legal--they're just parts. But you cannot give a felon the plastic frame (and polymer is plastic) because *that* is the firearm. A Glock, therefore, is a plastic gun (though it has metal parts). It's interesting that they have that little metal or aluminum insert for the serial number. I don't dispute that they shoot very well, but they have no history, no class (my opinion only) and no safety features to speak of. But that last part is a matter for another discussion.
