It's smooth, you can put it under your pillow, and when your pillow falls on the floor, you can still sleep with your face on it. Simlpe fixed barrel- doesn't fall apart and reassemble it's self every shot like a 1911. Revolver mechanisms give me the creeps too. I had to bend and file here and there to get it tight and glitch free, though. No pearl- black plastic grips with allen screws. Tighten grips with slot screws just once, and it's evident.
