Indy's Eyesight

When did Indiana Jones discover that he needed glasses. Did he wear glasses when he was a young man? During WWI? After all those long long hours of study and research at the Universities? I gather our hero is far-sighted. Does he get his eyesight difficulties from his father? Hmmmmm.-The Countessa.
