For a wild 17 year old? If he can afford it, an FS chrome goat. However, if I were 17 I wouldn't want to pay $400 for a coat and probably go with the Wested out of financial principle.

The Wested is a nice jacket and for $250 you can't go wrong. Again, the FS is excellent jacket, and I recommend it as well. Question is, what price are you willing to pay?
