My new finish lamb looked shiny for a year, before I finally sold it. It takes time and more than a few adventures to get it there "naturally". The jackets for Raiders, Temple of Doom, and Last Crusade were distressed using a variety of tortures. Some of those methods are quite destructive to the leather and will likely shorten the life of your jacket. Others (MK's brew of chemicals) show great promise, but are not to be undertaken any way but seriously. Long way of saying - "it depends"...
