Aldens Returns, Exchanges

I have read here that the Alden people are very good about excahnges and returns within reason. Has anyone ordered 2 pair to try and send one back that is not the better fit. Sounds like a little bit of a hassle but I guess for that money one wants to be sure to get the best possible size. At laest for the many of us who aren't in driving distance to SF.
