Actually, I found the buckle at a local baseball field. It was attached to some leather apparatus that was maybe a hammer holder or somethin'. Anyway, the inside area of the buckle measures 1" wide and 1 1/8" high. The center bar isn't perfectly centered vertically, but it doesn't seem to affect the way it works.
I cut the buckle off the leather deal and busted the "finger" off. The buckle also isn't totally flat, it's a little concave. A while back I had searched the web for Indyesque buckles, and I've gone back to my bookmarks and found what I think is the same buckle, available at Tandy Leather.
