Read your post below and thought I'd bring the response to the top so you wouldn't have to go hunting for it. :)

Yes, the trip was cancelled for August, but I just received a word from the guide who says that the trip has been rescheduled for March 2002 and he still wants me to go along.

I am planning to go, rest assured. When I do, I think I will still be there around ten days. Hopefully I'll get to see Tanis and Giza among other things.
