: : Would it be safe to say that Indiana Jones is a christian? Besides finding proof in 'Raiders' and the Holy Grail
Well strictly speaking Raiders wouldnt prove a Christian beleif, it would prove the old testement and therefore Jewish beleifs could apply too.
'CRUSADE' seemed to me to be filmed with themes of affirmation, didnt one charachter say to Indy 'its time to decide what you beleive'? That third film seemed to make it conclusive for me that he -if not being Christian par se- had a christian beleif structure ingrained in him.
Of course, as you said, it could just be that his leap of faith was an act of affirmation of his relationship with his Father rather than with religion, so its open.
Also, in 'TEMPLE' theres that bit when the old man asks if Indy now understands the power of the stones, and Indy says something along the lines of 'now i understand', which could be taken as talking about the power of beleiving in something, rather than the details of of what you beleive in.
I dunno, im an outsider to the whole religion thing anyway ;)
