In my personal opinion I don`t believe that the Raiders hat had the cut. The other two films did and I`m sure Herbert Johnson just lumps them all together and doesn`t distinguish different hats for different films. I had my Peterbros. done without the cut and it looks dead on to me while I watch the movie and put it right beside the screen. I cut my Akubra in the dimensional cut and it looked too much like the Last crusade look and not the Raiders look. I believe that the shape of the brim is a result of Mr. Fords head not a cut. I am no hat expert but that just my humble observation. Get it without the cut and if it doesn`t look right TO YOU you can always cut it later. Have a great day
