Personally, I don't want to know how Indy's life ends. Seeing him as old, doddering and badly acted just depressed me. Given that the forthcoming videos of the series appear to have excised George Hall's bookends, I'm willing to bet Lucas came to the same conclusion.

Seeing Indy ride off into the sunset at the end of Last Crusade seemed like the best way to end it for me. (not that I'm uninterested in another sequel)
