What a superb jacket. Now I have two revised westeds. The first was a
lambskin raider. The new one is a hide temple. As much as I like the
lambskin, the only thing it has on the hide is it's light weight. The
hide is also a complete shade darker. If anyone was debating between
these two jackets, I would go with the hide, unless you live someplace
hot. I live in Los Angeles, so the lamb to me is indispensable If you
are more concerned with toughness & warmth, go with the hide. If you
have the money, get both. I was thinking about experimenting with
flightsuits, and I'm sure they make a fine jacket (I have one of their
A-2's), but I really do not see the need to go any further. As far as
artificial aging goes, I can't really help. I don't know what acetone
would do to the hide. Be advised, the hide is dark. I would be
interested in if anybody out there has ever aged one of these. For
now, I don't think I could be more pleased. Regards
