Sorry for the silliness.
It does look sorta like a bastardized Coptic Greek script used by the prop designers. Problem is, Coptic wasn't in widespread use until some centuries after the supposed ca. 950 BC "ark theft" by Shishak.
Perhaps the prop designers stared at demotic and Coptic texts too late one night after too many cappucinos and too much L.A. takeout.
