Dated 1980? Interesting. I have to believe that Kenner was cleaning off the shelves in their warehouse of their old SW inventory, and this figure was the result. A few action items, and a new box and there you go, Indiana Jones! By the way, have you ever wondered what a "moot" was? Man, I need another cup of coffee. (grins) Regards. Michaelson

: : I believe that Kenner used the Han Solo figure for the Indy figure.

: Yes, I always thought it was odd that the 12" Indy had Han Solo's hair... But, good catch Michaelson. My Indy figure is dated 1980. I'm pretty confident it was originally sold as Indy since the jacket is a good likeness, and I figure the odds of such a jacket finding its way onto a Han Solo are much less than it originally being on an Indy figure. Occam's razor... I wonder if a.) Kenner was making Indy toys the year before Raiders' release or b.) They had bins and bins of Han Solo figures to redress.

: Given the 1978 date, however, this one was probably originally sold as Han Solo, so I guess this is all moot.
