I've used both Fuller's Earth and it's grey counterpart, "Rotten Stone" on my hat, and it looks great. It needs to be applied with a powderpuff or what they call a "dirtbag"-(I'm not kidding) and not sprinkled, or it doesn't quite look right. The results look very very cool.
