I used to take offense at things like you brought up, and wondered why more research wasn't done by the screenwriters, but I realized that they're only screenwriters. I've since learned to separate my professional life (as a historian) and my private life (as a movie-lovin' fool) and I'm much happier. If I want history, I'll always turn to a book first...
