Yep, start with 1 then move through them in order. Some of them kind of interconnect and you need to read them in order to get the feel of it.

I personally liked the Caiden books myself, though I seem to be the only one that does. Heck at used paperback stores you should be able to pick them up for a $1 or so, so why not read them.
