This has nothing to do with the title of this post.
I have pinpointed why so many critics are irritated by A.I., and as you might have guessed, Indy 4 figures into it.
For one thing two homages were prominently missing:
-A scene where Monica, having decided to imprint David, tells her husband, "I'm keeping him."
-When the robots discover David buried in the ice, one of them should have had a fedora on.
I also must admit that I was more than a little disappointed that Ashley Scott only had a (literally) walk-on cameo. I mean, I spent more time sniffing her photo at the newstand than she had screen time...but anyway.
I was going to go into a lengthy discussion of how the ending of the film could be viewed as a litmus test of Indy 4's denouement, but I have grown weary of typing.
