Yeah, I see your point. I felt as though Spielberg did a GOOD job of subverting his sensibilities for the most part...I think it's the picture Kubrick would've wanted on the whole, I mean way back in 1984 he recognized that Spielberg could give AI the heart it needed...

I agree the beings at the end resemble those in CE3K, I wonder if that was intentional?
