What you all must appreciate that 20 years on the value of merchandising is the beast behind most major films. Having made garments for the original star wars when the new series started I had to sign confidentiality documents forbidding me to disclose what I made for episode 1 and 2 althought we made the major costumes and the same goes for muummy 1 and 2 and entrapement. With this problem it is unlikeily that a major film costumier like us will ever be able to supply the fans with authentic originals.
What will happen with Indy 4 I do not know but it unlikelly that anyone will be allowed to reproduce any costumes without a large donation to Lucas Films.
Thank god that when I made the jackets for the Indiana Jones trilogy this money grabbing system did not exist. Mind you it seems that everybody but everybody has copied my originals, but I can live with that.
Cheers, Wear and be Happy.
Peter
