Has anyone else noticed how washed out the color on the Raiders videotape is?

I never really noticed it until I popped in the video of "The Making of Raiders" and "Great Movie Stunts." In the clips they show, the color is much richer and more vivid. Did they just use a really bad print for the video release, or what?
