Is it just me or . . . (book topic again)

does Indy seem to talk alot in the books? I know they're novels and you can't rely on HF being able to use a facial expression instead of two pages of dialogue. I know I'm bein' a bit nit picky and I am enjoying the books (I sure as Heck couldn't write one) but I always thought of Indiana Jones as a 'lots to say but don't talk much' kind of a guy. Seems that Han Solo's cockiness comes out every once in a while.
