The original was torn down shortly after the film was made. And I've also heard of a Mel's Diner replica at one of the Disney parks, if not both.

Maybe the fact that it's now a chain would make the photos on the wall more of a Planet Hollywood type deal, whereby they have copies of the same photos at each restaurant.
